Although the cutout trend was something that peaked last Fall, this is a trend I won’t necessarily be “cutting out” of my wardrobe… see what I did there, eh? I think it’s safe to say that we wore the hell out of smocked, off-the-shoulder tops and dresses this past year. Don’t deny this – we did. However, I do believe the cold-shoulder is something to stick around for a bit.
Over the past few years, it’s evident designers are getting more creative when it comes to defining a new “sexy”. Deep v-necks and bodycon dresses are now being replaced with cutouts that accentuate different parts of the body, such as the obliques and shoulders. Although I’m in full support of the cold-shoulder, I’m not usually a fan of it on me… I finally solved this issue by going up in size in the top I wearing. This kind of gave the blouse a more ethereal look, which I found to be flattering.
