Continuing on from Valiant Poppy, the next color on the 2018 Fall Pantone trend report I want to highlight is Ceylon Yellow! Being a blonde with fair skin, yellow has never really been one of my go-to colors. I always felt like yellow would clash with my hair and wash me out. With varying shades of yellow being HUGE this season, I’ve realized that I shouldn’t write off this color just yet.
In a previous post, I explained how this year’s Pantone colors for Fall are not for the meek and mild. The 10 colors selected embody what 2018 is all about: self-expression, individuality and creativity. What I love most about Ceylon Yellow is the gold undertone, which gives the color a more exotic appeal and demands attention.
If you had a chance to peep the FW18 collections from designers such as Bottega Veneta, Ulla Johnson and Adeam, you’ll see that when it comes to Ceylon Yellow it’s go big or go home! I’m talking full looks in this bold color from head to toe. This is one of the main reasons I fell in love with this coat and matching skirt combo from Milly.
