Am I ill? Has something taken over my body and soul? WHO AM I?! These are questions I ask myself when I start gravitating towards color in my closet instead of my usual monochromatic spread. More specifically the color yellow, or mustard. My fellow blondes may find this surprising since the yellow color family is something we’ve always tried to avoid. However, I’ve become more keen to the mustard hue since it is more subdued.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve probably noticed my preference for mustard-colored merchandise. Whether it be trousers, pumps, blazers, handbags – I love it all! My mission now is to locate an oversized, mustard suit to add to my collection. When I took a trip to my mother’s closet, it was only natural that I would gravitate toward this patterned jumpsuit. This was actually surprising since our tastes in fashion could not be any more opposite! My mom LOVES the colors of the rainbow and pieces that have a touch of femininity, where I’m usually on the opposite end in all black looking like I haven’t seen the light of day in a few years – haha. If you like the taste of mustard as well, I’ve picked some pieces I love below!

P.S. – it’s no stranger that my go-to accessory is a hat. My frequent trips to Goorin Brothers allowed me to meet one of their INCREDIBLY talented milliners – J.R. If you’re ever in the New Orleans area and are in need a custom hat (like the one I’m holding here), you must go see him!
