If you’re a girl my age, then I’m sure you have heard the phrase “shiny ball syndrome” before. Most of the time this is given to us because we are easily distracted by glittery, shiny objects… isn’t that the truth! If you’ve seen me lately running around New Orleans, you’ve seen glitter in all sorts of places – my hair, eyebrows, lips, lashes, nails etc. And mind you, I see absolutely nothing wrong with looking like a human disco ball!

In the fashion world today, shiny accessories are becoming the ultimate statement piece. What I’ve taken a keen interest in lately are chain metal bralettes and body chains. The one I’m wearing in this look is by Vanessa Mooney, which I think looks best over a loose tee to provide some shape. If you have any music festivals coming up, accessories that act more like hardware are an easy way to stand out from the crowd. At BUKU a few weeks back, I actually wore this same metal bra over a velvet unitard from American Apparel (visit my Instagram to check it out)!
