In the South we’ve grown up being taught that you can only wear white after Memorial Day and before Labor Day… what? First of all, this “fashion rule” needs to be put to bed for good. I’ve said in a previous post that half my closet was black.. well the other half of it is white! However, while the color white is appropriate for ALL seasons in my opinion, the fabric of the garment is what needs to be paid attention to.
Now that I’ve gotten that point off of my chest, I’ll move on to the amazing shirtdress I’m wearing by 3.1 Phillip Lim. I’ve kind of been obsessing over Phillip Lim lately.. you’ve seen me post about this designer before and be prepared to see more of it! What I like most about Phillip Lim is the attention to detail. Although this technically is a shirtdress, I was immediately drawn to the structured fit in the bodice and the waterfall skirt. Two components that work together harmoniously in creating the illusion of a teensy waist. I swear by it! This Summer, it will be my mission to stock up on more shirtdresses. It’s the best to throw-on and look cute, while staying comfortable in scorching temperatures!
Also – is it just me or has anyone else seriously struggled to find a pair of gladiator sandals that aren’t super cheesy?? This is definitely a trend that has been oversaturated, but there was still a part of me that wanted it to work so bad! I almost gave up hope until I came across this pair by Report at LF Stores when looking for Coachella gear. One of the sales girls at the store was rocking them with an awesome mini skirt and I knew I had to have them. I like that this pair has gold detailing and a small heel to elongate the gams. GREAT NEWS – I actually found them for sale online below!
