If you followed the Fall 2018 runway shows, then you noticed key designers who want us to “saddle up” and get ready for the upcoming season’s Western revival. Although temperatures are starting to cool down, we’re heading out to the wild, wild West! Designers such as Céline, Isabel Marant and Calvin Klein presented collections that had a fresh approach to Western style.
This season, it’s less about the rough-and-ragged approach to Western-wear and more focused on the quiet glamour. The best way to incorporate this Western revival trend into your wardrobe is to focus on one piece at a time… a fabulous cowboy boot (the one’s I’m wearing available HERE), blinged-out horsebuckle belt or saddlebag makes for the perfect accessory. For clothing, push the flannel aside and make room for pretty prairie tops (the one I’m wearing available HERE), a tailored Canadian tuxedo and classic Western-style shirts in luxurious satins.
The thing I’m most excited about with this trend is definitely the comeback of the cowboy boot! I was drawn to the ones I’m wearing in this look because of the modern take on the classic go-go boot. I also think the accent of the steel toe was pretty bad ass. Lately, I’ve really been a fan of blouses with billowy sleeves. Less of a funnel and more into the bishop sleeve!
